Assistance to The Earthquake Hit People of Jammu and Kashmir

Earthquake-smallThe Indian subcontinent was shaken by the devastating earthquake on 8th October 2005. Muaffrabad, the capital city of Pak-occupied Kashmir was the worst hit and it was reduced entirely to rubble. Thousands of innocent people lost their lives in the earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale. Kupwara, Baramula, Tangdhar, Uriareas were badly affected. A pall of gloom descended over the entire area.
earthquake1-smallKeeping up it motto selfless service to humanity, Dera Sacha Sauda Sirsa Haryana (India) extended its helping hand to the suffering masses. Several truck loads of relief materials were sent in the first installment along with the dedicated volunteers of Shah Satnam Singh Ji Green ‘S’ Welfare Force Wing. The courageous members of this force trekked through the treacherous terrain for 10 days to personally distribute the articles to the needy people. The material was supplied to 3868 families. It comprised of over 20 tones of Rice, 5 tones of pulses, 5 tones of sugar, 2,000 blankets, 5 tones of Salt, 1,250 crates Biscuits, 5,000 Bottles of Mineral water, hundreds of Tents, Carpets etc. The people and the administration expressed enormous gratitude to His Holiness Hazoor Pita Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji for the timely help which massively relieved their suffering. The artificial borders of caste, creed, religion or geography do not deter the intrepid.
