In a bid to spread awareness among public for maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings, Dera Sacha Sauda completed its 25th Mega Cleanliness Campaign in the state of Rajasthan on 10th October 2013 and the city which got blessed this time with the gift of cleanliness was the “Tiger City” Sawai Madhopur. Revered Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan inaugurated the mega event at Collectorate Circle at 8.40 am by sweeping a portion of dirty area with a broom and leaving gas-filled balloons with campaign’s slogan “Ho prithvi saaf, mite rog abhishaap” in the air. His Holiness then blessed all the volunteers with his divine glance of grace and waved the special flag in order to command all to commence the campaign. The moment Revered Guru Ji waved the flag, around 1 lakh volunteers who reached from every corner of the nation immediately got engaged in cleaning every street, road and drain of the city. It was amazing to see every volunteer irrespective of his profession, social status, education or caste was engaged in cleaning the filth of Sawai Madhopur. The tireless and zealous efforts of these 1 lakh volunteers cleaned the city in just 3 hours. Within minutes the campaign commenced, huge piles of garbage took out & gathered by volunteers were seen at ever corner of roads and streets which then workers of municipal authority started picking in their vans.
On the occasion, while addressing media persons Revered Guru Ji said, “A common man must have a sense of responsibility towards the nation. To serve our own needs only limitlessly becomes a sin one day. When a person provides selfless services for other’s welfare, he becomes capable of fulfilling his responsibilities easily. In this Dark Age no one comes forward without a selfish motive, but these volunteers covered miles and reached here for this cleanliness campaign, so, the Lord will enrich them with his abundant benevolence. Participating in the cleanliness campaigns continuously will enrich these volunteers with both external and internal bliss.”

Making people aware on importance of cleanliness in both scientific and religious perspective, Revered Guru Ji further said, “Cleanliness has always been a subject of importance in religions also. If our surroundings are clean, we will inculcate thoughts in remembrance of GOD and human mind will be free of evils thoughts. This is all because dirtiness pollutes the surroundings which along with chemically treated food cultivate vices in a human mind. Besides this, dirtiness is a source of several bacteria and diseases which cause downfall of human psyche and a man transits into a devil.”
For awakening the moral values of people Revered Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan uttered that it hurts when foreigners refer our nation which is nation of Gurus as “Dirty India”. It’s a humble request to all the residents to keep surroundings of your home or shops clean at least up to 50-100 feet, so, that a need of such mega cleanliness campaign never arises. His Holiness further said that when we throw a banana peel on road, you never know a biker may get hurt by that and if he dies or is handicapped, you get that sin upon you for no reason. Revered Guru Ji then answered media questions on other political and social issues also.
The city of Sawai Madhopur on 10th October was seen occupied everywhere with lakhs of Dera Sacha Sauda volunteers and members of Shah Satnam Ji Green ‘S’ Welfare Force Wing wearing their earthy brown uniform and devotedly absorbed in cleanliness activities. This made all the local residents to view the amazing scene open-eyed and they paid heartfelt gratitude & thanks to Revered Guru Ji and volunteers by delightfully filling pledge forms and vowing to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings forever.
